Platinum is a hard brilliant white metal, and is the most expensive of the precious metals commonly used in jewellery.

Because of its high melting point it requires a much high temperature for working than gold, and making and repairing platinum jewellery requires great experience and skill.

Platinum is becoming increasingly popular for both wedding and engagement rings, because of its brilliant white colour, toughness, and value. Platinum and diamonds make a particularly beautiful combination.

The cost for an item varies depending upon weight of metal, choice of stones, and complexity of design.
